# Get Slideshow Edit State

> Read the canonical editable snapshot and revision.

Read this before applying edits. The response contains `id`, `title`, `status`, `aspect_ratio`, `image_fit`, `slides` and `revision`. Slides use the public slide contract; existing content identities remain stable.

The revision reflects the stored content, settings, status and modification time. Send it unchanged as `base_revision` when saving. Personal reads are owner-scoped; workspace reads require current membership.
