# Apply Slideshow Edits

> Save revision-checked edits with a durable idempotency receipt.

Send the `base_revision` from [Get Slideshow Edit State](/api-reference/get-slideshow-edit-state) and one to 50 edits. `Idempotency-Key` is required; retry a lost response with the same key and identical revision and edits.

Supported operations are `update_text`, `insert_text`, `remove_text`, `move_slide`, `insert_slide`, `remove_slide`, `set_slide_image`, `set_aspect_ratio` and `rename`. Indexes refer to the current zero-based slide/text positions. Text changes support content, position, dimensions and validated appearance settings.

A changed revision returns `conflict`; reload and review the current deck before creating a new command. Reusing a key with different content also returns `conflict`. A completed retry returns the original saved result after checking current access, even if its base revision is older. Edits and the receipt commit atomically. Changing slide content invalidates its render; renaming alone preserves it. Unknown stored fields remain intact.

```json theme={null}
{
  "base_revision": "revision-from-the-read",
  "edits": [{ "op": "update_text", "slide": 0, "element": 0, "changes": { "content": "A clearer hook" } }]
}
```

The response has the same shape as the edit-state read and includes the resulting revision.
